Minot N.D. Senior Police Officer Jared Foley Promoted To Rank Of Sergeant On July 21, 2019

Senior Officer Jared Foley started his career with the Minot Police Department in
December of 2010. He was promoted to Senior Police Officer in 2014. Jared has
been assigned to the Patrol Division - Afternoon Shift where he serves as a Field
Training Officer for new recruits.

Jared is the team leader of the MPD Crisis Negotiation Team which is part of the
Minot PD SWAT Team.


He is a certified law enforcement instructor by the ND POST board. He is a certified RADAR instructor and De-escalation Techniques.

Jared has played a lead role in the Minot Regional Law Enforcement Explorer Post
#9472 since its inception in 2014.


This program gives youth ages 13 to 21 a chance to experience different aspects of what a career in law enforcement entails with hands on experience, engagement and skill building activities.

Jared’s promotion to Sergeant will result in a move to Day Shift where he will serve
as a supervisor for the officers on that shift.
