The Minot Fire Department responded at 12:34 a.m. Friday morning to reports of flames coming from an attached garage located at 2317 19th St. SW.
Fire units were able to quickly knock down the flames at 12:42 a.m. Three engines, one ladder truck and one command vehicle responded to the incident.
One family member was transported to Trinity Hospital for precautionary reasons. No other injuries to family or firefighters were reported.
The remaining four family members found temporary overnight shelter due to smoke smell in the home.
The fire was confirmed to be completely extinguished at 2:11 a.m. One fire unit remained on scene and provided fire watch until 6:30 a.m. Damage to the garage is estimated at $10,000. The Minot Fire Department Inspection Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
