According to the Billings Police Department, Sgt Milam stated that the Billings Police Department was called out to what dispatch described as a weapons complaint where a suspect discharged a handgun at the location of 223 South 28th Street.
The incident took place on Monday, July 1, 2019, at about 9:04 p.m. on Monday.
The incident was a report of a man that discharged his gun in the city limits specifically at the location of 223 South 28th Street in Billings.
Once Officers arrived, the suspect ran into another home in the area. Multiple Police units responded and set up a perimeter around the property.
The male suspect ran about a block to the area of 300 South 28th street. Police requested him to come out "come out with your hands up."
The male suspect did come out with his hands up and promptly handcuff and arrested. The area of this incident was very near to the area back in December of 2018 one person was shot and in April 2019 another shooting about two blocks away from where a male individual was shot and killed in another shooting .
The police report number is19-46458.
According to the Billings Police Ratings site, Sgt. Ben Milam badge#375 maintains an A rating and is not a threat to public safety. This Officer can be trusted by the general public.
