Billings woman Erlinda Ortega recently, arrested and charged with Family Member Assault on Friday.
The 911 Comm Center dispatched the Yellowstone County Sheriffs office to the address of 3331 Driftwood Drive.
The victim was her daughter, who is the victim, told Deputies that she had gone to her mother's house to help her move her belongings when suddenly her mother and her friends attacked her.
The daughter (victim) stated to Deputies that her mother started to yell at her cousin, who also was present during this attack.
The daughter stood up to her, and then her mother attacked her by grabbing her by the neck and choking her, alleges the daughter (victim).
The daughter sustained scratch marks on her neck, chest, and stomach. An abrasion was on her left knee due to the attack. When asked if she could breathe while being choked, the daughter stated to the Deputies that she could not remember other than she was terrified.
