6/5/19 @ 4:23pm Officers were called to a business in the 1300 blk of Cedar Street concerning a male who possibly had warrants for his arrest. Officers located the 41 yr old Helena male and arrested him on two outstanding warrants. In addition it was discovered items he was attempting to sell at the store had been stolen during a previous burglary to a residence. The male was also charged with felony Theft (by possession of stolen property). He was booked at the detention center. The burglary investigation is continuing.
6/5/19 @ 11:24pm An officer stopped a vehicle near 6th and Cruse for a traffic violation and arrested the driver – a 29 yr old Helena male – for 1st offense Driving Under the Influence and Aggravated DUI. He was booked at the detention center.
6/5/19 @ 10:17am An officer arrested a 19 yr old Helena male in the area of Railroad and Lamborn on two outstanding warrants. He was booked at the detention center.
6/4/19 @ 5:46pm An officer investigated a theft of a boat and trailer from the 800 blk of Stuart Street. The boat is a 1998 14’ South Fork Skiff, blue and white, and was stolen along with a 2015 Black Dog trailer. Photos attached at top of news articleH.
6/4/19 @ 7:51am An officer took a report of a stolen vehicle from the 1400 blk of Wilder Avenue. Stolen was a maroon 1993 Buick Century, with Montana license 5-94750A.
6/5/19 @ 11:52am A school resource officer cited two students at Capital High School - a 16 yr old male and a 17 yr old female – with Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs (misdemeanor) and Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were cited and released to guardians.
6/5/19 @ 10:31pm An officer cited a 17 yr old Helena female for misdemeanor Theft in the 800 blk of Camelot Court. She was cited and released to a guardian.
For Wednesday June 5th, 2019, Helena PD officers responded to 90 calls for service, to include 5 non-injury traffic crashes, 5 domestic/family disturbances, and made 19 vehicle stops for various traffic offenses.
