Early Morning Shooting In Shepherd Montana Results In Juvenile and Adult Being Shot

According to Sheriff Mike Linder of the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 4:50 am this morning, Deputies responded to a report of gunfire in the 8200 blocks of Beas Lane, near Shepherd.

Yellowstone County Sheriff Deputies determined that bullets hit at least two male subjects who live at the residence. One victim is an adult male, and the other is a male Juvenile.


The adult male airlifted to a local hospital, but the juvenile transported via ambulance, the Information according to Hospital authorities indicates that none of the injuries are life-threatening.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, a suspect identified, and at approximately 2:30 this afternoon, the adult male was taken into custody without incident.

It appears that those involved in the incident know each other, and this was not a random act.

No names at this time will be released as the investigation is still ongoing.

At approximately 11:30 this morning, Sheriff’s Deputies and Task Force Officers took an adult male into custody, inside a residence at Custer and 2nd Street West in Billings.

 

The man is suspected of being involved in the shooting incident on Beas Lane early Monday morning. The man, whose name is not yet being released, had an injury when he was located that was possibly a bullet wound.

 

No shots were fired during the arrest and the injury does not appear to be life threatening.

 

The investigation is ongoing and we are following up on information of a possible 3rd subject being involved at the incident.
