Billings man Steven Paul Furlong was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession with intent to distribute and Possession of Paraphernalia.
According to Dispatch records, a call came in to dispatch regarding suspicious activity at the Red Lion Hotel located in Billings.
The suspect vehicle was a black Hummer parked in the parking lot of the hotel.
Billings Police Officer Caleb Schultz badge #436 maintains an (A) rating and is NOT a threat to public safety, the general public can trust this Officer, according to the Billings Police Ratings, was the Police Officer that responded to the suspicious vehicle call from the Red Lion Hotel.
As Officer Caleb Schultz approached the vehicle, he was able to identify Steven Paul Furlong as the driver of the car.
Officer Caleb Schultz informed Steven Furlong that he was investigating a suspicious activity call and was wondering what Furlong was doing. Furlong indicated that he and Angela Castro were about to get a room at the Red Lion Hotel. When dispatch was not able to verify the identity of Angel Castro as being in their system, Billings Police Officer Caleb Schultz then asked her for a social security number.
After some research, Officer Schultz was able to identify the woman as L.V. who had several outstanding warrants for her arrest. L.V. was detained without further incident.
Officer Caleb Schultz observed multiple small plastic baggies that had green leafy substances in them. The Billings Police Department has placed an Officer Caution on Steven Paul Furlong previously.
It is essential to inform the public that the Billings Police Department has been instructed by Chief Rich St. John to place Officer Cautions" on people that they come in contact with whether it be drugs, or a simple traffic ticket. Again, promoting Police Vs. Public mentality.

After a pat down of Furlong, Officer Caleb Schultz found a paper substance in the left-hand pocket of Furlong.
Billings Police Officer Boeckel by this time had arrived to assist Officer Schultz.

Officer Jeremy Boeckel searched the person of Steven Paul Furlong and located METH and a large amount of cash.
Later, when the vehicle was searched with a warrant while in impound, revealed a loaded syringe containing METH along with a bag full of needles and 77.3 grams of METH.
