According to Lieutenant Jayson Zander badge#745, the following is a summary of events

At 0037 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Euclid and Grant.  Contact was made with the female driver and male passenger; they were both identified.  Both occupants were found to have valid warrants for their arrest.  The 29-year-old Helena woman and the 44-year-old Helena area man were arrested and booked into the LCSO jail. 

 

At 0119 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 3400 block of Tricia for a report of a theft of belongings from a vehicle.   

 

At 0131 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stoop near the intersection of 8th and Rodney.  When contact was made, the male driver demonstrated signs of impairment and was tested for DUI.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the 29-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI.  He was booked into the LCSO jail.    

 

At 1218 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Chaucer for a report of a theft of license plates.   

 

At 1305 hours, an Officer responded to the 2700 block of Prospect for a report of a cold shoplift.  Video Surveillance was captured and the case is active.   

 

At 1425 hours, an Officer responded to the 10 block of S Ewing for a report of a theft.     

 

At 1535 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 3100 block of N Montana Ave for a report of a shoplift that had just occurred.  Video surveillance  was captured and the case is active. 

 

At 1538 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Last Chance Gulch for a report of two juvenile males in a physical altercation.  When Officers arrived, the fight had broken up and one of the involved parties fled.  Both boys were later located and cited for Disorderly Conduct.  They were referred to Juvenile Probation.

 

At 1730 hours, an Officer responded to the 600 block of Stuart for a report of a burglary to a residence.  The case is active. 

 

At 2246 hours, Officers were dispatched to the area of Cedar and Washington for a report of a single vehicle roll-over crash.  Officers arrived and found the male driver out of the vehicle and alert; there were no other occupants in the vehicle.  The male driver was demonstrating signs of impairment and tested for DUI.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the 56-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI - Felony (7th offense), Aggravated DUI, No Insurance, and Careless Driving.  He was booked into the LCSO jail.    

 

 

 

The Helena Police Department responded to 90 calls for service.  Of those calls, they responded to 11 vehicle crashes, 5 welfare Checks,  6 Trespassing complaints, and 8 Suspicious Circumstance calls.
