At 0202 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Euclid for a report of a shoplift that occurred.  The suspect was identified as a juvenile male and he was caught shoplifting an alcoholic beverage.  The male was cited for Underage Possession of Alcohol and Theft.  He was referred to Juvenile Probation. 

 

At 0649 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of State St for a report of a family disturbance.  At the conclusion of the investigation, a 56-year-old Helena woman was placed in Protective Custody and taken to the hospital.

 

At 0829 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Clancy for a report of a suicidal male.  The male was identified and placed into Protective Custody.  He was transported to the hospital. 

 

At 1130 hours, an Officer responded to the 1800 block of Le Grande Cannon for a report of a theft of belongings.  The case is active. 

 

At 1217 hours, an Officer responded to the 10 block of S Park for a report of a theft.   

 

At 1536 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Logan for a report of a man with a knife threatening people.  The man was located, identified, and detained.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the 58-year-old Helena man was arrested for Assault with a Weapon and booked into the LCSO jail.   

 

At 1642 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the Law and Justice Center for a report of a male at that location with a valid arrest warrant.  The  23-year-old Helena man was arrested for the warrant and booked into the LCSO jail.

 

At 1849 hours, an Officer responded to the 600 block of N Montana Ave for a report of a male at that location that had previously been trespassed.  The 45-year-old Helena man was identified and cited for Trespassing.  He was referred to Municipal Court. 

 

At 2119 hours, an Officer responded to the 300 block of Euclid for a report of two juvenile male shoplifting alcohol.  The suspects were located and cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and theft.  They were referred to Juvenile probation.

 

At 2127 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Dakota and 12th Ave.  The male driver demonstrated signs of Impairment and was tested for DUI.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the 35-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI (drugs), Aggravated DUI, Driving while suspended, and No Insurance.  He was booked into the LCSO jail.

 

At 2219 hours, Officers responded to the 100 block of Fairway for a report of a suicidal male.  The male was located and placed into Protective Custody.  He was transported to the hospital. 

 

At 2323 hours, Officers responded to the 200 block of Placer for a report of a physical altercation between a male and female.  The involved parties were located and identified.  At the conclusion of the investigation, a 42-year-old Helena woman was arrested for Partner/Family Member Assault.  She was booked into the LCSO jail. 

 

 

The Helena Police Department responded to 85 calls for service.  Of those calls, they responded to 6 vehicle crashes, 7 welfare Checks,  3 Trespassing complaints, 2 Disturbance calls, and 10 Suspicious Circumstance calls.
