Billings woman Sidney Lee Henry was arrested and charged with Assault on a Police Officer and Obstructing a Peace Officer.

The Billings 911 Comm Center dispatched Billings Officers on March 23, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. to the Big 5 Motel which located at 2601 4th Ave North.

Big 5 Motel staff called 911 to inform Officers that a woman who has initially been trespassed from their property, was in their parking lot again.

Billings Police Officer A Edwards and Q Johnson responded to the call and located Sidney Lee Henry.   Sidney Henry admitted to the Officers that she was not allowed on the property, but she was just waiting for her boyfriend who was in one of the rooms to come out and give her a ride.

Sidney's boyfriend refused to give her a ride.

Billings Police Officers then issued Sidney a trespass citation and advised her that she was to leave the property and if she came back that Law Enforcement would have to arrest her.

Sidney Lee Henry started yelling at Officer and threatening both Officer A. Edwards and Q Johnson as she was walking away from the Officers.

As she was walking away from the Officers, she threw several items that were in her hands at the front door of the motel hitting the building and the door with those items.

Billings Police Officer A. Edwards directed Sidney Lee Henry to return to his so that he could issue her a littering citation.

Ignoring the commands of Officer A. Edwards Sidney continued to walk away heading eastward bound on 4th Ave North and crossing 26th street.

Both Officer Edwards and Officer Johnson ordered Henry to stop walking away.   Officer Edwards reached from behind in an attempt to grab Henry and as he did this Sidney Henry turned around and punched Officer Edwards directly in the face momentarily stunning Officer Edwards approach directed at Sidney Henry.

Officer Edwards was hit in the face by Sidney Lee Henry with a closed fist which caused Officer Edwards pain.  Both Officer tackled Sidney only to have Sidney start screaming and struggling with the Officers even more.  Multiple times Henry attempted to strike the Officer by kicking them.

The Billings Police Officers were able to detain and remand Sidney Lee Henry to the YCDF for booking without further incident.
