Billings man 30-year-old Jacob Micheal Burnett was arrested and charged with Partner Family Member Assault which is his (2nd) offense.
The Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office responded to the address of 2618 Old Hardin road #8 described as a physical disturbance in progress.
The victim (C. Burnett) is the mother of Jacob Burnett.
C. Burnett called 911 and stated that her son had assaulted her. According to her statement, she reported that her son entered her bedroom and started arguing with her.
C. Burnett (mother of Jacob) asked her son to leave her bedroom and let her get some sleep.
As she turned her back away from her son, Jacob Burnett suddenly pushed her down into the bed face down.
Jumping on her back and straddling her back, he started to press down on her neck to the degree that C. Burnett was sure that he was trying to break her neck and soon would.
This action on the part of her son caused her great pain and agony, and she stated that she is afraid of her son.
The Yellowstone County Sheriff Department placed Jacob Burnett under arrest without further incident.
