3/14/19 @ 2:32pm  An officer took a report of a possible violation of a no contact order in the 400 blk of Hayes Avenue.  The case was referred to the city attorney’s office for review of possible charges.


3/14/19 @ 3:59pm  An officer was called to investigate a trespass to and theft from a motor vehicle in the 2400 blk of Winne Avenue.  The victim reported missing her wallet and assorted other items.


3/14/19 @ 4:58pm  An officer was called to investigate a possible theft/elder exploitation in the 2400 blk of Winne Avenue.  It was reported the victim’s finances are being misappropriated by a family member. The case is under investigation.


3/14/19 @ 7:35pm  An officer was called to a possible theft in the 2700 blk of Prospect Avenue.  The officer learned an 18 yr old male attempted taking alcoholic beverages from the store without paying.  The store declined to pursue theft charges, however the 18 yr old Helena male was cited and released for Underage Possession of Alcohol.


3/13/19 @ 11:45pm  An officer patrolling the area of the 1100 blk of West Custer Avenue located a male he knew to have a warrant for his arrest.  The officer stopped and arrested the 18 yr old Helena male.  He was booked at the detention center on two outstanding warrants.


3/14/19 @ 8:00am  An officer was called to the 500 blk of Logan Street concerning a possible assault.  The suspect has been identified and the officer is continuing to investigate.


3/14/19 @ 2:50pm  Officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 1400 blk of Cole Avenue.  After investigation, officers arrested a 36 yr old Helena male for 3rd offense Partner or Family Member Assault and misdemeanor Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs.  He was booked at the detention center.


3/14/19 @ 8:23pm  Officers were called to the 600 blk of Euclid Avenue concerning a possibly intoxicated person attempting to drive away from the location.  The officer located the vehicle and after investigation arrested the driver – a 27 yr old female from Billings – for 1st offense Driving Under the Influence and Aggravated DUI.  She was booked at the detention center.



On March 14th, Helena officers responded to 82 calls for service including 7 traffic crashes, 2 animal-related calls, 5 disturbances and 7 thefts.


For the week of March 8th through March 14th, officers responded to 527 calls for service including 3 injury motor vehicle crashes, 42 non-injury crashes, 11 criminal mischief incidents, and 32 thefts.
