According to Bill Rash of the Billings Fire Department, multiple 911 incoming calls to the 911 Comm Center have failed to reach the 911 Comm Center.  This is affecting the City of Billings/ County emergency 911 incoming calls.

At this time it appears to be just Verizon based wireless service cell phone calls.  If you are using Verizon Wireless as your carrier do not call 911 as that call may not get through.

Verizon Wireless is working to correct the issue and will get it resolved.
Until that happens instead, call 406-657-8200 to report any emergency until further notice.

This would affect responses from the Billings Police Department, Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office and the Billings Fire Department.

The Billings Police Department, Billings Fire Department and the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office are doing their best to respond to any emergency incoming calls despite the technical issue with Verizon Wireless .  Be assured, help will come to you if needed.
