SUMMARY OF CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING INCIDENT: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of 31st Ave SE for a report off suspicious vehicle with two subjects looking at a flatbed trailer with flashlights.
The vehicle in question was leaving the area as officers arrived and they stopped the vehicle to investigate the activity.
While speaking to the occupants officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and a subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted. The search led to the seizure of various drugs, paraphernalia and more than $1,000 in US currency.
The driver, Joey Jesz, was arrested for Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Schedule II Narcotics with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Schedule IV Narcotics with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia other than Marijuana.
The passenger, Jordan Mello, was arrested for False Information to Law Enforcement, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia other than Marijuana and a warrant for Probation Violation. Both subject were taken to Ward County Jail.
