According to Lieutenant Jayson Zander #745  of the  Helena Police Department,  at 0802 hours, an Officer responded to the 1400 block of Jerome Place for a report of criminal mischief to a residence. 

 

At 0952 hours, a School Resource Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Knight for a report of a student in possession of a tobacco device.  The student was cited for Minor in Possession of Tobacco and referred to Municipal Court. 

 

At 1147 hours, a School Resource Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of Billings for a report of a student in possession of a tobacco device.  The student was cited for Minor in Possession of Tobacco and referred to Municipal Court.

 

At 1226 hours, an Officer was dispatched the 3100 block of Sanders for a report of a theft of belongings from a vehicle. 

 

At 1345 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Cedar for a report of a theft of a motor vehicle.  It was reported a white 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen from and business and has possibly been missing for a few months. There was no plate on the vehicle.    

 

At 1457 hours, an Officer responded to the 800 block of Abbey for a report of stolen license plates.  It was reported Montana License plates 5-08796B were stolen.

 

At 1710 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of N Park for a report of lost vehicle keys. 

 

At 1906 hours, an Officer responded to the 500 block of Logan for a report of a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival, the Officer made contact with a male and female that were involved.  It was reported the female struck the male with a baseball bat several times.  At the conclusion of the investigation, a 38-year-old Helena woman was arrested for Partner or Family Member Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and a warrants.  She was booked into the LCSO jail.    

 

At 2138 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Poplar and N Sanders.  The female driver was identified and found to have a suspended driver’s license, no insurance, and 3 active arrest warrants.  The 29-year-old Helena woman was arrested for the aforementioned charges and booked into the LCSO jail.   

  

At 2328 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Park and Broadway.  The Officer made contact with the female driver and noticed signs of impairment.  A DUI investigation was conducted and, at the conclusion of the investigation, the 41-year-old Helena woman was arrested for DUI (5th – felony), Aggravated DUI,  Suspended Driver’s License, No Insurance, and Speeding.  She was booked into the LCSO jail. 

 

 

The Helena Police Department responded to 83 calls for service.  Of those calls, they responded to 4 vehicle crashes, 7 welfare Checks, 2 Trespassing complaints, and 6 Suspicious Circumstance calls.
