Billings Man Edwards Paul Watts arrested for Assault with a Weapon and PFMA.
According to police reports, On Oct 7, 2018, Billings Police Officer Aaron Edwards was dispatched to what was describes as a disturbance in progress.
Upon arriving on the scene Officer Aaron Edwards the 911 dispatch stated that Edwards was the victim. Yet once Officer Aaron Edwards was able to ascertain what was really going on, he discovered a female victim with the initials of A.N. who stated to him that she was just assaulted by her boyfriend Edward Paul Watts.
Officer Aaron Edwards spoke to the female victim A.N. who was upset and crying. He nose was bleeding and she had a lump on the back of her head.
The victim told Officer Aaron Edwards that she and her Fiance Edward Watts, have been in a relationship for about 5 months. She stated that they lived together and that she still maintains her own apartment. She told the officer that Edward Watts had been abusive to her in the past and that the last three days he had tried to strangle her.
A.N. told the Officer that this happened when she was cleaning the trailer and Edward Paul Watts wanted to have sex with her. she became upset after having sex and started to cry.
Edward then started to mock her.
Edwards Watts would not let her leave. Instead, Watts shoved her up against the wall in the living room.
A.N. tried to get a text message out to her mother but Watts put a coat around her neck and started to strangle her preventing her from getting that text sent out.
She stated that she was terrified and thought she was going to die. Watts then head-butted her in the nose. Watts then let go of her, and as she collapsed on to the living room floor A.N. was gasping for air.
Watts then told her that if she had called the police she was to tell them that she hit herself in the head with a cup and stuck her fingers up her nose.
A.N. was finally able to get out of the trailer house and got into her car and drove to her friends home. Her friend's name is Faith Clark. It was Clark who called the ambulance for A.N.
Officer Aaron Edwards detained Watts without further incident and remanded him to the Detention Center.
