According to Brenda Bassett of the Missoula County Sheriff's Officer, on October 8th, 2018 at 11am at Mount Jumbo School, the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting an Active Attack Integrated Response Course (AAIR) with local emergency res-ponders.
Unlike the Active Resistance Training taught in schools, this will focus on first res-ponders and how they can be most effective in coordination and resource integration.
This class is designed to improve designated roles with law enforcement, fire, tele-communicators and EMS in an active attack / shooter situation. It also helps provide LEO’s with key medical skills to help increase survivability of victims.
This class is being put on thanks to a Department of Homeland Security Grant recently received by the Office of Emergency Management.
