For September 19th

At 0114 hours, an Officer responded to the 300 block of Euclid for a report of a cold shoplift.  The 35-year-old suspect was identified and later cited for theft.  He was referred to Municipal Court.   

 

At 0123 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 11th and Hoback.  He identified the driver and learned his driver’s license was suspended and there was no insurance on the vehicle.  Further, the 39-year-old Helena man had 3 warrants for his arrest.  The man was arrested for the warrants, driving suspended, and no insurance.  He was booked into the LCSO jail.   

 

At 0911 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the area of Cruse and 6th Ave for a report of criminal mischief to, and theft from a motor vehicle.   

 

At 0828 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Last Chance Gulch for a report of fraud.  The case is active. 

 

At 1137 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the courthouse at 228 Broadway for a report of a female there with a valid arrest warrant.  The 31-year-old female was located and arrested for the warrant.  She was booked into the LCSO jail.

 

At 1209 hours, an Officer was dispatched the area of Custer and Montana Ave for a report of a possible violation of a no-contact order.  The involved parties were located and identified.  A 56-year-old Helena area man was arrested for violation of a no-contact order and two arrest warrants.  He was booked into the LCSO jail.   

 

At 1309 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of 11th Ave for a report of a theft.  The case is active. 

 

At 1307 hours, an Officer responded to the 800 block of Flat Rock Loop for a report of a cold theft from a motor vehicle.

 

At 1502 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the courthouse at 228 Broadway for a report of a male there with a valid arrest warrant.  The 18-year-old male was located and arrested for the warrant.  He was taken to the court where the Judge released him.     

 

At 1536 hours, an Officer responded to the 3100 block of N Montana for a report of a shoplift from a business. 

 

At 1705 hours, an Officer responded to the 1000 block of Phoenix for a report of a theft of a battery from a camp trailer.   

 

At 1924 hours, an Officer responded to the 1200 block of Walnut for a report of fraudulent check activity. 

 

At 1904 hours an Officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of N Sanders for a report of a theft of a trailer hitch.  It was later located at a pawn shop.  The case is active. 

 

At 1915 hours an Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Oregon for a report of a disturbance.  It was discovered two men were arguing over a $10 loan.  At the conclusion of the investigation, a 22-year-old Helena man was cited for Disorderly Conduct.  He was referred to Municipal Court.

 

At 2335 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 3300 block of Dredge Dr for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the boulevard.  The officer arrived and located a driver in the vehicle that demonstrated signs of impairment.  The male driver was tested for DUI.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the 47-year-old Helena man was arrested for DUI (4th – felony) and Aggravated DUI.  He was booked into the LCSO jail.

 

 

The Helena Police Department responded to 95 calls for service.  Of those calls, they responded to 7 vehicle crashes, 6 welfare Checks, 3 Trespassing complaints, 2 disturbance calls, and 9 Suspicious Circumstance calls.
