Billings Family Assaulted Right In Front Of Yellowstone Court House By James Brent Gremaux

James Brent Gremaux a Billings resident, has been arrested and charged with assault on a minor,  simple assault and obstructing a peace officer.

A 14-year-old and two siblings along with their mother were walking past the Yellowstone County7 Courthouse at about 3:55 p.m. on August 25, 2018.  The family was walking on 3rd ave north past the Court County House.  They had walked to the Albertson's grocery store got groceries then were walking home past the Courthouse when a mad that was later identified as James Brent Gremaux approached them.

As James Gremaux was approaching the family of kids, he was reported to have been babbling unintelligent words that did not make sense.

Gremaux grabbed the closes female in the face with his hands and pushed her down to the ground causing one of the children to fall to the ground.

Gremaux then grabbed another child and pushed that child by his head into the side of the County Court House building wall.  This male child then fell to the ground from the hard impact on his head.

Officer Adams responded with Officer Schnelbach and caught up to  Gremaux walking down the street headed southbound.

Officers observed that James Brent Gremaux was intoxicated and struggled with Officer Adams and was trying to pull himself away from the Officer grip on his arm.  Gremaux then started to yell and curse at the Officers.

James Gremaux was arrested and detained without further incident and transported to the Yellowstone County Detention Center for booking.
