A Billings man Dallas Hughes Jr. was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Drugs.
According to the Billings Police report 18-47611 that was filed, On July 4th, 2018 Billings Police Officer Schnelbach was patrolling the area of Montana Avenue and at about 2:47 p.m. a green Pontiac ran a red light at the intersection of North 30th streets.
Officer Schnelbach alleges that the driver was not wearing his seat belt. As Officer Schnelbach attempted to pull over the green Pontiac Schnelbach claims that the vehicle was too slow in pulling over.
The driver of the vehicle was Simon Silva and the front passenger was Jessica Silva. Both the rear passengers were also identified as Kyle Janis and Dallas Hughes Jr.
The Driver stated to Officer Schnelbach that he was driving without any insurance.
All the men in the vehicle had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Office Schnelbach called in Officer Nyquist to assist him. Dallas Hughes Jr. stated to Officer Schnelbach that he had a backpack in the rear seat of the vehicle and that was his and he wanted to make sure that the backpack went to jail with him.
Detention Officers searched the backpack and located a clear baggie that had white powered in it. After a field test was completed the substance tested positive for METH.
