Billings woman Brooklyn Mae Cardwell, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Drugs (2) counts and (1) count of Possession of drug paraphernalia.
On June 12, 2018 Billings Police Officer DeNio along with Billings Officer Anderson were dispatched to the Bourbon hotel for what was considered as a physical disturbance in progress.
As Officers entered the hotel room, one person got up and entered the bathroom. One of the Billings Police Officers Anderson, followed the man into the bathroom and made the man exit the bathroom.
This man later was identified as Russell Dwayne Becker.
Officer Anderson, found what was a plastic bag that contained a white powder which was later determined to be METH
A single METH baggie was located in the toilet tank. Becker was then arrested on the spot for possession of METH.
Officer DeNio discovered that Brook Cardwell was the person who had rented the hotel room at the Bourbon hotel.
While the officers were in the hotel room, they observed capped and uncapped syringes in plain view laying about the room.
Brooklyn Mae Cardwell was in possession of a baggie of METH in her bra area which was taken for evidence by the Detention Officers.
Cardwell and Becker, according to police records have a history of drug use and prior interactions with the Billings police department.
The Billings Police report for this is CO 18-41379 and the District Court docket number is CR2018-1394. The case is being prosecuted by Jacob Yerger who is a Deputy County Attorney with the Yellowstone County Attorneys Officer.
The Bourbon Hotel has a long history of the Billings Police, either arresting very violent people or individuals who are Meth'd out and are customer's at the Bourbon Hotel.
