Billings Man Marty Jay Shane, Arrested And Charged For Strangulation and PFMA: Has Long History Of Violence

Billings, Montana--//MNA Press//--  Billings man Marty jay Shane was arrested and charged with (1) count of Strangulation of PFMA and (1) count of PFMA.

 

According to a court hearing On June 4, 2018 at approximately 12:55 a.m.  Billings Police were dispatched to the address of 4th Ave South for a report of a domestic disturbance that was in progress.

 

Billings Police Officer Hilde responded to the call.

 

The victim goes by the initials of A.H.     A.H. Stated to Officer Hilde that her boyfriend that she had been with for the last ten years, came home intoxicated and was pounding on the front door.

The victim was inside of the home with her two minor children.

 

 She indicated to Officer Hilde, that she did not want her children to open the door as she feared that Marty would be violent.

 

One of the children opened up the door and Marty Shane entered the home and grabbed his girlfriend A.H., and threw her down on the ground and started to punch her in the face calling her a "bitch"  

 

For just a moment she was able to escape, but Marty Shane chased after her, catching her and then started to strangle her as her two children watched in horror.

 

At some point A.H. Again, was able to get away again.  Marty Shane then ran towards the Lee's Saloon.  Billings Police Officer Hilde searched for Marty Shane and located him walking northbound on 27th Street.   Officer Hilde yelled "Hey Marty", Marty turned and looked at him.  Officer Hilde pulled the squad car that he was driving over to where Marty Shane was,  got out of the squad vehicle and then detained Marty Shane.

 

Marty Jay Shane has a long violent history of PFMA's.     According to Court records, Marty Shane was convicted of a PFMA back in 2015 and then again in 2017 for previous assaults on his girlfriend A.H.

Shane was taken into custody without any further incident.

 

This case police report number is 18-39087 and the docket number is CR2018-1311 with Molly Rose Fehringer as the acting Deputy County Attorney.
