Laurel man James William Hunter Jr. was arrested and charged with Partner Family member Assault.
The Laurel Police Department received a 911 call regarding family disturbance at 305 Durland Ave. According to Captain Mark Guy, Guy has dealt with this address before and there had been multiple incidents of family disturbances in the past.
This time an individual with the initials of C.H. had been drinking and was intoxicated throwing things around, but no one was hurt.
Two Officers responded to the home. Laurel Officer, Captain Guy and Reserve Officer Worisek. Before both Officers were able to get to the residence, Medical personnel were already at the scene.
Medical personnel called dispatch and the advised dispatch that James Hunter Jr. had just thrown a female through the window of the house and that she was injured.
Upon the Officers arriving at 305 Durland Ave Officers located the female outside on the ground by the back door crying and holding her head as if she was in pain.
The female victim had a large knot on her head and scrapes on her right chin.
When the female victim was asked who had done this to her, she stated that it was James William Hunter Jr.
Laurel Pd arrested James Hunter Jr. on a PFMA charge and was taken to the patrol car Hunter Jr. stated that he had everything recorded on his cell phone.
The Officer listened and viewed what was recorded on his cell phone and it only revealed Hunter Jr. antagonize the woman about her drinking, but the cell phone recording did not indicate anything else. Hunter Jr. told Officers that he did not know how C.H. was hit in the head.
According to Court records, James William Hunter Jr. was convicted of PFMA in the state of Minnesota on 4/17/2014 and then again in Billings Montana in the Municipal Court back on 02/03/2015.
