DUI Accident on Highway 312 and North 5th Road Causes Passenger to Sustain A Broken Vertebrae.

A Billings man Dustin Lee Davis was arrested and charged with vehicular negligent assault.  According to the Montana Highway Patrol, Trooper Robbins was dispatched to a crash with injury incident located on highway 312 and North 5th Road in Yellowstone County.

 

The reporting complainant described a vehicle that was laying on its side just off the North side of the roadway.   Two males were on the scene of the incident.  One male was standing and one was  lying in the snow.


Trooper Robbins gave medical assistants to the male that was laying down in the snow.   Trooper Robbins rendered C-spine assistants till a medical unit arrived.

 

Dustin Lee Davis admitted to the Trooper that he "had been drinking."

 

According to the investigation into the crash, it would appear that the vehicle that Dustin Lee Davis had been driving the vehicle in an eastbound direction when he lost control of his vehicle. 

 

The vehicle spun and flipped off the roadway and ended on its side in the area that the male passenger had been ejected onto the snow.
