Laurel Man Dustin Fredrick Larson Was Arrested And Charged For Assault With A Weapon And Obstructing A Peace Officer.

Billings Man Dustin Frederick Larson, was arrested charged with Assault with a Weapon and Obstructing a Peace Officer . On March 24 2018 at 2 in the morning Officer Cortese of the Laurel Police Department, was dispatched to an address located at 719 West 1st Street in Laurel Montana. According to dispatch records the call was a weapons call .


According to the 911 caller, Dustin Larson threatened to kill him and pointed a gun at him in a threatening manner .


Once the Laurel Police Officer arrived the address he took it upon himself to open the door announcing himself and observed a man sitting in the living room in a chair .


Officer Cortez asked if his name was Dustin, the man got up and said " I'll go get him," another Officer arrived to assist.

About an hour later, the manl came outside and was detained without incident.


Officer Pitts, spoke to the victim about what happened and the victim who was a relative of Larson advised, that he and the defendant were at the Caboose bar become before they returned home.


Both the victim and Dustin Larson got into an argument about the victim owing money to Larsen . Dustin Larson then grabbed a gun and pointed it directly at the victim stating , " I can shoot you in a second," he then racked his weapon slide on the handgun and released the magazine onto the floor.


The victim feared that the defendant was going to kill him. Officer Pitts asked the victim if he thought that the defendant was going to actually harm him and the victim stated he thought that he was going to be killed.


Officer Pitts and Officer Cortese search the home and discovered a black and silver Springfield XDM pistol which was loaded and had a magazine round of 13 bullets .


This case number is CR2018 - 75 with Judge Jeanne Walker presiding. The County Attorney that is Prosecuting this case is Michael Ellinghouse license numbers 18 - 25472 and the Police report number is P 201-800-200.
