Homicide Investigation Into The Death Of 47-Year-Old, Susan Wood

Detectives with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a homicide following the death of 47-year-old Susan Wood of Missoula. Wood’s was found on Coal Mine Road near the intersection with Otis St. on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 8:33 pm.


She had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was transported to a local hospital. She died on Friday March 16th, at 1:30 pm.


Since this time, detectives have been gathering evidence and reviewing surveillance video from the area. Wood’s was last seen on video Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 6:48 pm near the north end of Lowe’s on Reserve St. She is seen walking north and appears to turn right onto England Blvd. Wood’s regularly took this path and could be recognized by the pink coat she wore pictured below.



At this time, MCSO detectives are working with state and local agencies to identify the suspect(s) responsible for this homicide.
