Billings man Dante Lamar King was arrested for Theft and Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs.
On about March 16, 2018 a woman by the name of D.P. loaned her 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier to one of her friends, Crystal Blakely. Crystal Blakely however did not return the vehicle to her. The vehicle was reported to the Billings Police as stolen.
On March 20, 2018 Billings Police Officers who make up the Street Crimes Unit, located a stolen Cavalier vehicle which was parked in the Motel 6 parking lot.
Officers waited and a male left the motel and got into the stolen Cavalier.
Once the Officers made contact with the male they learned that his identity was Dante Lamar King and that he recently had been arrested for driving a stolen Range Rover.
Billings Police Officer Michael Gilluly badge#189 transported King to the Detention Center.
Billings Police Officer Michael Gilluly badge#189 has a Billings Police rating of (D) This Officer is not to be trusted by the public in any manner shape or form.
Once Dante Lamar King was in the jail, Officers searched his vehicle and located marijuana.
Detective Tanner Buechler Badge #321 has a Billings Police rating of (A) and can be trusted by the public.
Detective Tanner Buechler Badge#321 is part of the EMHIDTA. Buechler applied for a warrant to search the room that Dante King had rented at the Motel 6.
Detective Moffet along with Agent Zidack and Detective Buechler searched the motel room locating Cocaine and Marijuana.
This case will be prosecuted by Julie R. Patten who is a Deputy County
