At 6:23 PM yesterday the Minot police department responded to  a shooting scene and provided medical assistance to an 18 year old male victim until Community Ambulance arrived on scene.

It was later reported that a shooting had taken place at a nearby apartment complex, located at 1601 12th Street NW.

The investigation revealed the 18 year old male had been shot at this apartment complex and fled to the second apartment located in the 1600 block of Terrace Drive, where someone called 9-1-1 for the victim. The investigation is still ongoing.

The male victim was taken to Trinity Hospital where he is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds, which appear to be non-life-threatening.

This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the general public. No suspects were in custody at the time of this report according to Captain John Klug of the Minot Police department.
