The Family Dollar Store In Cheyenne Wyoming Was Robbed By An Armed 14-Year-Old

According to the Cheyenne Wyo Police Department , at about 11:20 a.m. on February 22, 2018 Several Police officers from the Cheyenne Police Department were dispatched to a report of an active  armed robbery at Family Dollar, 508 Central Ave. 


The suspect was described to Police Officers as a person wearing a gorilla mask who displayed a knife and was successful in obtaining cash before leaving on a push scooter.   The robber was also described by store employee  as being a very young person who was small in statue.


When CPD officers arrived on the scene and located the suspect, a 14-year-old male was attempting to flee the store. 


Due to the suspect being a juvenile, his name cannot be released.


The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Laramie County Juvenile Detention Center.


This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
