2/19/18 @ 9:59am Officers responded to the 3300 blk of North Montana concerning a possible assault. After investigation, officers located the people involved at another location, and arrested a 56 year old Helena male, charging him with 3rd offense Partner or Family Member Assault and Unlawful Restraint. He was booked at the detention center.
2/17/18 @ 1:43pm An officer was called to investigate a theft from a Prospect Avenue business. A male and female fled from the business with about $300 in unpaid merchandise. The officer is attempting to identify those involved.
2/17/18 @ 5:54pm An officer took a report of fraud and identity theft from a resident in the 2800 blk of Overlook Blvd. The victim reported a credit card access check had been stolen and used for a purchase at a business outside the city limits. The officer is continuing to investigate.
2/17/18 @ 8:27pm An officer investigated an incident in the 10 blk of South Last Chance Gulch of an underage female using false identification to purchase alcohol. The officer located the 20 yr old Helena female later and issued her citations for Unlawful Use of a License/ID and Underage Possession of Alcohol. She was cited and released.
2/17/18 @ 4:42pm An officer was contacted by a business in the 3100 blk of North Montana concerning a theft from the business that occurred the prior day. A female concealed a number of items of merchandise and left the business without paying. The officer is attempting to identify her.
2/18/18 Through tips received from the department’s Facebook page and Crimestoppers, officers identified a female in a theft from a Prospect Avenue business on 2/9/18. The officer located and cited the 55 yr old Helena female with misdemeanor Theft. She was cited and released.
2/16/18 @ 2:56pm An officer took a complaint from a business in the 1000 blk of Helena Avenue concerning a theft from the business that occurred the prior day. The officer is attempting to identify the suspect.
2/16/18 @ 6:16am An officer spoke with a Helena resident concerning a fraudulent charge made on her debit account at a business in Minnesota.
2/19/18 @ 12:49am An officer responded to the 200 blk of West Custer Avenue after a vehicle was reported to have slid off the roadway. Officers arrested the driver, a 34 yr old Helena male, and charged him with 3rd offense Driving Under the Influence, Aggravated DUI, Careless Driving and Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License. He was booked at the detention center.
2/18/18 @ 4:28pm Officers were called to check on a male walking in traffic near Broadway and Jackson Street. It was discovered the 37 yr old Helena male had several warrants for his arrest. The male was arrested on the warrants and booked at the detention center.
2/18/18 @ 3:50am Officers were called to the 10 blk of Pine View Drive concerning a disturbance. During the investigation, officers arrested a 53 yr old Helena male and charged him with Driving Under the Influence (felony) and Aggravated DUI. He was booked at the detention center.
2/18/18 @ 12:30pm An officer was called to a business in the 3300 blk of Dredge Drive concerning a theft from a vehicle parked there. The owner reported someone had broken into her vehicle and stolen several items.
2/16/18 @ 10:00pm An officer met a complainant at the law enforcement center to recover a quantity of mail the complainant found. It appears the mail had been stolen from several residents on Helena’s westside. The officer is working on returning the mail to the identified owners.
2/17/18 @ 9:16am Officers were called to check on a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 2200 blk of National Avenue. Officers arrested the owner of the vehicle, a 42 yr old Helena male, on an outstanding warrant. The male was booked at the detention center.
2/17/18 @ 6:42am Officers were called to a residence in the 1100 blk of North Hannaford concerning an assault. After investigation, officers arrested a 28 yr old Helena male, charging him with 1st offense Partner or Family Member Assault. He was booked at the detention center.
