Minot City Offices Closed 25th and 26th Of December 2017

City of Minot offices closed Dec. 25-26 in observance of Christmas All City of Minot offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, and Tuesday, Dec. 26, in observance of the Christmas holiday, including City Hall, Public Works, the Minot Auditorium, and the Engineering Department.

 

City offices will also be closed Monday, Jan. 1. City buses will not run on Dec. 25, Dec. 26, and Jan. 1. For water service emergencies, residents are urged to call 701-852-0111.

 

There will be no garbage collection on Dec. 25, Dec. 26, and Jan. 1.

 

Regularly scheduled collection resumes Jan. 2.

 

For residents with regular Monday/Thursday garbage collection, collections will take place Thursday, Dec. 21, and Thursday, Dec. 28.

 

For residents with regular Tuesday/Friday garbage collection, collections will take place Friday, Dec. 22, and Friday Dec. 29.

 

The City Landfill will offer free dumping between Dec. 27 and Jan. 6. City of Minot Sanitation Superintendent John Reynolds said residents can dispose of accumulated trash at the landfill free of charge during the holidays by bringing a current water bill as proof of residency.

 

The landfill will be open its normal hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but will be closed Saturday, Dec. 23.

 

The City will again provide dumpsters at two locations to help residents dispose of Christmas trees.

 

The City will place dumpsters at Site # 7 located at 16th Street SW and 16th Avenue SW (near KMOT) and at Site #3 located at 11th Street NW and 4 th Avenue NW (Oak Park).

 

The Minot Public Library will be closed Sunday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 25., along with Sunday, Dec. 31, and Monday, Jan. 1. The Library will be open regular hours all other days.
