19-Year-Old Accidentally Shot With Shot Gun

According to Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder, on Sunday, November 19, 2017, Deputies were dispatched to a reported shooting at a residence in the 1900 block of Old Hardin rd.

 

When they arrived, Deputies found a 19-year-old, inside the residence with a gunshot wound to his upper chest / neck area. The man was transported to a local hospital and at approximately 3:00 this morning he was reported to be in critical condition.

 

 Witnesses and the shooter cooperated at the scene and at this time, no arrests have been made.
Sheriff's Office detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and the investigation is continuing.


No names are being released at this time.

 

Alcohol and marijuana were found at the scene although it is unknown at this stage of the investigation if they were factors in the incident.


One witness did leave the residence as Deputies were arriving but returned shortly after.
