Billings Montana--//MNA Press/-- The Law Suit that was filed by the Richard Ramirez Estate Vs. City of Billings, Officer Grant Morrison, Chief Rich St. John and John Does 1-10 and Corporations A-J has a time line to follow.


The Montana News Investigative reporter is publishing this information in the best interest of the public.   The public has a right to know what is going on in the Ramirez case.


 Back on August 11, 2017 the Plaintiffs’ counsel Joseph Casillas and Peter Lacny appeared telephonically for a pretrial conference.   Defense counsel appeared for the City of Billings.   Attorneys Gerry Fagan and Adam Warren represented the City and Chief Rich St. John.


Harlan B. Krogh appeared as counsel for Grant Morrison.  Grant Morrison was the individual who shot and murdered the victim Richard Ramirez on Monday April 14, 2014.


Upon an agreement of the parties and a lengthy discussion, the resulting schedule was:

On October 30, 2017 there is a deadline for amending any pleadings which includes a joinder of the parties.


On June 8, 2018 a disclosure of Plaintiff’s Liability and damages experts is to be produced.


On July 2, 2018 a disclosure of defendant’s liability and damages experts is to be produced.


On July 30, 2018 serving of any rebuttal experts disclosures.


On October 31, 2018 the discovery deadline must be served so that any responses are due on or before this date.


On December 3, 2018 any motions need to be filed except motions to amend pleadings and motions in Limine.  All motions are to be fully briefed and submitted by this deadline.


During the week of February 4, 2019 all counsel for all parties will have a conference to prepare a final pretrial order.


On February13, 2019 any E-file pre-trial order, proposed jury instructions, proposed voir dire questions and trial briefs are to be emailed to   The trial briefs are optional in this case.


A notice to the Court reporter of intent to use real-Time,

A notice to I.T. Supervisor of any intent to use CD_Rom or Videoconferencing,

A notice to the Clerk’s office of intent to use JERS.

On February 20, 2019 a final pretrial conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.  In the Federal Court house.

On March 4, 2019 a Jury Trial will commence.  The jury will be a 7-member jury.


This concludes Article 7 of 35 articles  regarding Grant Morrison.  The Montana News wants the public to be very much aware of Grant Mmorrison's dirty deeds as a cop.  He is a danger to the publc as an officer of the law.  He needs his badge taken aware and he needs to be fired from the Billings Police Department before he ends up shooting his 3rd Billings citizen.
