Thursday evening, a driver headed the wrong-way west bound up 4th Ave North, crashed into car that were headed East bound towards the Metra Park that was being driven by a minor female.
The crash took place just feet before the intersection of 13th Street North and 4th Ave
According to Sgt Clyde Reid of the Billings Police Department, several Law Enforcement agencies were involved in a high speed chase, chasing a car on Main street.
The Yellowstone County Sheriff Department and the Highway Patrol were involved in the chase.
Once the car turned up 4th Ave North headed in the wrong direction, West bound, the chase was called off due to safety reasons.
The crash took place at about 7:40 or 7:42 according to dispatch. Billings Police as of 8:43 had not located the wrong-way driver who ran from the crash scene
According to the Billings Police Department one of the passengers that was in the car that police were chasing, left the scene of the accident, but later returned to the accident and received medical help from the EMT's. The Billings Police do know who the suspect driver that was police were chasing. As of this morning, the accident is still in the investigation phase, The wrong-way driver suspect has been described as either in his late teens or early 20's
