Billings Mt; --//MNA Press//--Billings man Michael Eugene Williams was arrested and charged with (2) two counts of Assault with a Weapon, Aggravated Animal Cruelty and Resisting Arrest.

On June 17, 2017 at about 10:40 in the morning, Yellowstone County Sheriff Deputies Burke and Ketch were dispatched out to the address of 5016 Encampment Trail.

The Caller was the step daughter of Michael Eugene Williams.

When the Deputies both arrived in the scene Williams’ and his step daughter were sitting on the porch.  When the Deputies approach Williams’ he started to walk backwards stating, that he was not going back to jail.

Michael William’s step daughter told the deputies that she had gone outside to see what the yelling was all about.  Michael Williams’ had a metal trash can lid in his hand.  William started to bang the metal lid into the head of his step Daughter (K.W.) striking her several times on the back of her neck and on her head.

Michael Eugene Williams has a history of being physically violent towards others and his own family members, according to Court records.

Both Deputies informed Williams that they were going to take him to be arrested.  Michael Williams started backing up towards a vehicle that was nearby, grabbing a metal pole that appeared to the deputies as a metal broom stick.  Williams then raise the metal broom stick up in the air as if in a threatening manner directed towards the two Deputies, Burke and Ketch.

Deputy Burke and Ketch took that action as a threat directed at them individually.  Deputy Ketch deployed his taser unsuccessfully.  Then Deputy Burke deployed his taser which caused Michael E. Williams to fall to the ground allowing the Deputies to arrest him and place him in handcuffs.

After Williams was transported to the Detention center for processing and booking, Williams step daughter told the deputies that after Williams was done striking her in the head and back of her neck with the metal trash can lid, Williams promptly when into the chicken coop, grabbed a chicken, held it by its wing and then started to beat the chicken with the metal broom handle beating the chickens head and body with the metal object until the beatings caused the chicken to die from the physical beating trauma.

Williams then chased his son (D.W.) with the metal broom stick, swinging it in an attempt to strike his son in the head just like had had just done with the chicken, killing the chicken.  The son (D.W.) ran from Michael Williams, who is his father.
