Kerrvile Texas--//MNA Press-//--Two little girls, Bryn Hawkins 1 yr old and Addison Overgard-Eddy, have suffered a senseless death because their mother, Amanda Hawkins left them in the car, in sweltering heat.
You may ask what was the mother doing while the girls were dying? It has been reported that the mother was visiting friends and that she perhaps, intentionally left them in the car to die.
Hawkins, was arrested and being held on a bond of $70,000.
Both girls died in a Hospital in San Antonio. Autopsies are pending.
The mother told the doctors that both babies collapsed from smelling flowers.
Unfortunately, it is rare that a parent would leave their most precious possession/inheritance in a vehicle to intentionally fry in a car.
Here are the facts that loving, mindful parents want to consider....
(1) When a child(or a pet) is left in a hot car, they are literally being cooked from inside out. When a baby or pet is left in a car, (usually unintentionally) they experience a demise that is slow, and very painful.
(2) A child's body temptress can rise up to 5 times faster than an adult. A child dies with a 107 degree body temperature.
(3) The temperature can be 60 degrees outside, and your car can still get way above 110 degrees.
It is suggested that parents put the diaper bag or a favorite toy on the front seat. Also, parents should place the car seat in the middle, rather than behind the driver or passenger seat where you can see the baby in your rear view mirror.
In the case of a pet, a leash or water/food bowl can be placed on the passenger front seat.
