Jared Evans who is employed as both a paramedic and a fireman in Sacramento California, has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a teen having a seizure.
Evans surrendered on Monday June 5th, after he discovered that police had issued a warrant out for his arrest. He was charged with battery, of a sexual nature.
The incident happened on April 1 when the teen was being transported to the hospital.
The first responder/fireman reached in the young woman blouse and pulled out her right breast, when he assumed she was unconscious.
Another paramedic was present when the sexual assault took place. After he placed her breast back into her blouse, he exclaimed to his assistant, "Sorry, man, I just had to." The intern paramedic reported the assault to a superior.
'The Fire Department takes all civilian complaints very seriously and will take appropriate steps to rectify issues that are brought to their attention. The complaint was made to the Fire Administration, in turn it will be forwarded to Law Enforcement to be investigated'.
Evans was jailed and released on a $3,000 bail. He will be arraigned to court on September 26.
