Members of the William G. Carroll American Legion Post #26 will host Minot’s annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. in the City of Minot’s Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery.
The honorary guest speaker at the event will be Lt. General Jerry L. Sinn (Ret.) Army.
In addition to the ceremony at Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery, American Legion Post #26 will also host two other Memorial Day events in Minot:
8 a.m., at the 8th St. Bridge in northwest Minot. American Legion Post #26 Auxiliary will host an event where rose petals and unserviceable American flag ashes will be strewn into the Mouse River in remembrance of soldiers, sailors and Marines who were lost at sea.
American Legion Post #26 and Boy Scout Troop 437 will host their annual Memorial Day pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the American Legion Post #26 building located at 1949 North Broadway.
The public is invited. A $5 donation will be accepted at the door.
