Billings woman Yolanda Patrice Marin, arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and partner family member assault. According to a court hearing, on May 13, 2017 the 911 Comm center received a call regarding a weapons complaint.
Dispatch stated that the call came from the residence of 42 Florine Lane #4.
Officer Fjetland and Edwards arrived at the home and entered the home and observed Mr. Marin holding the bathroom door shut because his wife allegedly had a knife in the bathroom which he believed she intended to use on him.
Officers advised that the home was in disarray and was unsanitary.
Billings Police Officer Fjetland claimed, that one of the children was playing with a condom and that the child had blown the condom up like a balloon. This is what Billings Police Officer Fjetland claims.
As to the credibility of that statement, Yolanda Patrice Marin’s defense attorney may challenge that statement.
As to the summary of what took place, Mr. Marin told officers that he had just come back from a party and came home to check on his wife when they started to have an argument.
Yolanda Marin allegedly started hitting and slapping Mr. Marin in the face, then retrieved a knife that was sitting on top of the stereo in the back bedroom. Yolanda is accused of holding the knife in a threatening manner and stance, pointing the tip of the knife directly at Mr. Marin. Yolanda started to approach her husband with the knife, Mr. Marin grabbed her wrist and was able to take the knife away from Yolanda. Yolanda then headed for the bathroom and grabbed another knife that was when Mr. Marin slammed the bathroom door shut on his wife Yolanda and Mr. Marin called for the police.
