A traffic accident on 1-90 East bound lane occurred on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. According to a Law Enforcement Official a pickup traveling East bound in the left lane on I-90 East.
According to a witness, a semi truck was traveling East bound when the truck slowed down rapidly due to the traffic in front of it slowing down.
The white pickup that a male driver was in did not slow down and either did not see that the Semi truck had put on it brakes, or the semi truck’s trailer brake lights did not illuminate or the lights were had to see. Any of the three circumstances could have happened stated a Law enforcement Officer who was on the accident scene but that the investigation was just in its early stages.
The male drivers sustained a broken leg and various facial injuries bumps and bruises. The Semi was not damaged other than part of the catch bumper on the back of the trailer. The semi truck was not hauling any loads of dirt and was empty at the time of the impact.
Due to the seriousness of the accident, the male driver of the white pickup truck had to be extricated out so that the emergency people could get him out.
As of this morning, the investigation is still ongoing and traffic is backed up on the I-90 freeway.
