Billings Man Leon Andrew Harlson Jr., Charged With Assault With A Weapon: But Will Police Investigative Facts Hold Up To Tuff Defense Counsel

March 15, 2017

Billings Montana--//MNA press//-- According to a court hearing Leon Andre Harlson Jr.,  was charged and arrested with Assault with a weapon.

On Jan 21, 2017 Billings Police were dispatched to 9th Ave South for a report of a female that stated that she was being chased by a man into her house and also was being shot at by this same man with  gun.

According to the woman, she stated that this man followed her down the alley to her home.  The woman described to police that she felt scared and that she took her keys and tried to use them as a defense for herself but then ran towards her house.

The man then ran passed her and was able to close the front door to her home as she tried to open the door so she could get inside.  The man then leaned up against a wall and that was when the woman was able to get inside the door and lock it before he was able to get to the door.

At this point the attacker started shooting at her front door and broke the glass and the storm door area and entered into her home.

The woman ran behind a stove and hid she claims.   The man then fled the home.

Apparently a woman by the name of Jessica Mills and her boy friend Leon Andrew Harlson Jr, threatened the woman by sending various text messages to the woman.

Later the woman/victim that goes by the initials of S.S. was shown a photo of Harlson and (S.S.) was able to pick the correct photo.

The female woman was the one who found 10 shells of which the Billings Police missed in their original on scene investigation and it was the woman/victim who provided the shell casings to the Billings Police Department, apparently as their investigation totally missed collecting that evidence, or rather they did not even investigate the case properly.

Court records do show that an Officer by the name of Tanis was the one who showed the female victim the photo of Harlson, and it was Officer Gaertner who originally responded to the crime scene in the first place but apparently did not find any shell casings.  This case should be interesting to watch as the Defense counsel rips into the prosecution over the facts and evidence or lack their of in this case.

Leon Harlson Jr.,  alread had law problems when back in  February of 2017, Harlson Jr., was arrested after he tried robbing a bar but was  subdued during his failed attempted robbery at Buck's Bar.
