According to Sgt Matt Lennick of the Billings Police Department, approximately 1456 hours, Officers were dispatched to the address of 155 North 24th Street for a report of a possible stabbing.
Multiple Billings Police arrived to find numerous people involved in an ongoing verbal argument.
A 36 year old female with injuries to her head was discovered but no victim of a stabbing.
It was discovered the victims, who were a 36 year old female and her 18 year old daughter had arrived at the residence and a verbal argument with another resident of the apartment complex began.
During the verbal argument a 36 year old male who lived at the apartment became involved and displayed a knife to both the mother and daughter. According to the victims, the male suspect picked up a large rock and threw it in the face of the 36 year old mother.
Billings Police and medical arrived on scene. The 36 year old mother was transported to the hospital for non life threatening injuries. The male suspect was arrested for three counts of assault with a weapon, being a rock.
