Bucks Bar Tender Over Powers Armed Robber With Patrons Help

According to Sergeant Harley Cagle of the Billings Police Department on 2/8/17 at approximately 2149 hours, Billings Police responded to a reported robbery at Bucks Bar located at 1511 Central Ave.

 

Billings Police Officers arrived on scene to find the armed robber being physically  detained in the bar by bar employees and customers.

 

Billings Police took police  custody of the male armed robber.

 

An investigation determined the suspect ID as 25-year-old Leon Harlson, of Billings,  entered through the rear of the bar and walked behind the counter at which time he pointed a handgun in the face of an employee demanding money.

 

The Bar tender was able to gain control of both the suspect and his weapon and was ultimately assisted by others in the bar in handcuffing the suspect before police arrived.

 

Injuries did occur to the suspect and an employee during the altercation.

 

Billings Police processed the scene and transported the suspect to YCDF and charged Leon Harlson with  felony Robbery and misdemeanor Obstructing a Peace Officer.

 

At the time of this news release the Billings Police are still in an investigation phase.
