According to Mitch Hart from the Billings Police Department, on February 9, 2017 at approximately 1001 hours Billings Police Officers responded to Lake Elmo and Main Street for a report of a Pedestrian vs. Vehicle accident. Upon arrival a female was trapped under a white Toyota Tacoma that was driven by a female Billings resident.
Further investigation revealed the victim had been involved in a rear-end accident with another driver. The victim exited her vehicle and began to walk back to the driver that had struck her vehicle. The driver of the Toyota Pickup attempted to slow down or stop on Lake Elmo and began to slide sideways due to icy street conditions. The Toyota pickup struck the victim causing it to come to a stop over the victim.
The victim, a 20 year old female, unknown if a Billings resident was transported via ambulance to St. Vincent’s for precautionary observation. Citations were issued for fail to drive careful and prudent.
