Watford City N.D.,--//MNA Press//-- What was Watford City Police Chief Arthur Walgren thinking when he sent out an email to various members of law enforcement and city of Watford City officials? His actions caused him to be suspended last month but now has been asked to step down as the Chief of Police of Watford City North Dakota.
Chief Arthur D. Walgren sent this email on Wednesday Jan 25, 2017 at 3:24 p.m. to Kimberly Clemons, with the subject line stating “FW: Closet”
This email was also sent to the following individuals: Addie L. Gross, Amanda S. Eisenschenk, Andrew P. Eisenschenk, Sndrew Lanowski, Andrew J. Swanson, Brandon M. Kindred, Devin A. Clark, Dylan S. Bostic, Jacob J. Gadewoltz, Jeffery G. Jenson, Jonatha P. Davis, Julianned F Blakeman, Ken L. Prentice Larry D. Sherk, Matthew J. Hooper. Nick Parek, Ryan E. Chaffee, Shannon B. Wellen, Shawn N. Doble and Stephane M. Packer.
The email begins with “Hi,”
“I wanted to announce that after much thought, I am coming out of the closet. I cannot deny my homosexual tendencies. Please be nice to me!”

Then just a few minutes later at 3:49 pm the Chief of Police sends this email to the very same people listed above. Subject, “Inappropriate e-mail”
The email begins with “All,”
“I am going to start off by apologizing to Jesse and to all of you. I hacked his email while he was away and sent out an email on his work account and I was thinking it was all in fun and games at the time. Another instance, where innocent intentions can be a bad thing. Even I am susceptible to doing things wrong. I take responsibility for this.
It is another case where we need to remember that we all must be careful about how we do things. I am accountable to you as well as everyone else for my actions and I am not above you in this aspect.
Than you for your understanding.”
Signed Chief of Police Arthur D. Walgren
That same day, the Watford City Police chief was suspended effective from Jan 27, 2017through Feb 10, 2017 for sending this email to the entire police department and to the assistant chief’s wife. However this was not the end of Chief Arthur D. Walgrens actions.
On Feb 2, 2017, the Watford City Police Chief resigned as being a BAD COP. Chief Arthur D. Walgren sent this letter to the Watford City mayor and to the town Council.
“It is with great sadness that I inform you of my intention to resign from my position as Chief Of Police with the Watford City Police Department.
I would like to thank you for all the opportunity to serve you and the people of this great community. I have learned a great deal and likewise, I believe we have accomplished a great deal.
I will work out my exact day with Human resources.
Thank you for your time
Arthur D. Walgren”
Never once did the police chief ever even mention why he was resigning although the whole community of Watford City already knew about it.
Here is an example of just one more Police Officer that should have never EVER been given the power of a badge, He finally got caught in what he calls a prank gone horribly wrong. Disgraced Chief Arthur D. Walgren ruined publicly, many lives in the community of Watford City North Dakota.
That is the Legacy that he crafted, that he will be forever remember by.
