Billings Bus Driver "First Student" Cited For Careless Driving And Causing Accident At Senior High School

Incident:  Injury accident 17-00520

 

 According to Sergeant Matt Chaney of the Billings Police Department on 01-03-2017 at approximately 3:08 PM BPD Officers were dispatched to a crash which occurred in front of Senior High School at Grand and 5th St. West. 

 

The crash involved 2 First Student Buses and 2 passenger cars. 

 

After loading up the kids, one of the buses accelerated for an unknown reason striking the other bus and two passenger cars. 

 

Two people from the passenger cars were transported to local hospitals for non life threatening injuries.  None of the children on the buses sustained any injuries.

 

 Alcohol does not appear to be involved in the crash. The driver of the bus was cited for Careless Driving.
