Billings Montana., Dec 13, 2016--//mna press//-- Billings man Scott Duane Dedmore was arrested and charged for Criminal Possession of Dangerous drugs, driving while license suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance.
According to a Court hearing on Dec 10, 2016 Billings police officer Schnelbach was driving on 7th ave North when he observed a pickup that did no have any headlights working.
Once Officer Schnelbach initiated a traffic stop, he recognized the driver as Scott Dedmore who according to the officer was known to the police department as having a drug history.
When Officer Schnelbach ran Scott Duane Dedmore’s name in the NCIC data base, Officer Schnelbach was advised by dispatch that Dedmore had a warrant for his arrest and that his Montana driver’s license was suspended and that Dedmore was also on probation.
Officer Schnelbach then arrested Dedmore due to the outstanding warrant and then search Dedmore’s vehicle.
Another Billings police officer by the name of Officer Richardson assisted Officer Schnelbach, while Schnelbach conducted a search of the vehicle, in case Dedmore revoked his consent to search his vehicle.
During the search of the vehicle, located in the center of the console was a measuring spoon that had a white substance, residue on it. Also located was a clear white bag that had a lot of other little bags stuffed inside of it. Along side of this bag was a box of syringes.
Also located in the car was a scale and that back seat had what appeared to be white powered dust which later tested as Methamphetamine. Several of the bags had white residue inside of the bags.
The stuff was all tested for Meth with a field test that was done by Officer Schnelbach.
