According to Sergeant Matt Lennick of the Billings Police Department, on October 29, 2016 at approximately 2102 hours, Officers responded to the area of 322 South 32nd Street for a report of a shooting.
A 36 year old female had been shot in the leg at this residence and the suspect was a 40 year old male was reported as still being in the area with a gun.
Billings Police Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect in the 200 block of South 32nd Street.
The suspect was taken into custody and the firearm was recovered.
The victim was located in her residence and was transported by medical to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
During the investigation Officers discovered the suspect had fired multiple shots into 322 South 32nd from the back yard with one striking the victim.
The suspect then continued to shoot multiple shots into the residence at 318 South 32nd Street, causing only property damage. The suspect was charged with Assault with a weapon, Partner Family Assault, and Criminal Endangerment case#16-71621.
