Court Bailiffs have requested a meeting with the BOCC regarding the security of the courthouse, courtrooms and their personal safety.

Meeting Date: 07/21/2016 Title: Bailiff/Courtroom safety Submitted By: Kristie Boelter, Clerk of District Court TOPIC: Clerk of District Court - Court Bailiffs have requested a meeting with the BOCC regarding the security of the courthouse, courtrooms and their personal safety.

 

BACKGROUND: In light of recent events  the Clerk of District Court Bailiffs are requesting the opportunity to discuss security and safety issues within the courthouse, courtrooms and ultimately their personal safety and those they are serving.  

 

A number of them have witnesses issues that could develop into serious consequences if not addressed.

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Open up a dialouge concerning the future of security and safety in the Yellowstone County Courthouse and the Courtrooms.
