Minot N.D --- A lone resident of a Park Street home is recovering from minor injuries sustained during an early morning house fire in southwest Minot.
The Minot Fire Department responded to a fire call at 419 Park Street SW at 2:30 this morning.
Arriving fire units found a single-family residence engulfed in flames. The lone resident of the building suffered minor burns while escaping the fire and was transported to Trinity Hospital for evaluation.
Fire companies from all four of Minot’s fire stations battled the blaze and quickly contained the fire to the building of origin. The fire was extinguished at 3:35 a.m., and a fire watch was put in place to ensure there was no re-ignition of the structure.
With the exception of the fire watch, all fire units left the scene by 5:30 a.m. No other buildings or properties were at risk during firefighting operations.
Minot’s Fire Marshal responded to the scene and initiated an investigation of the fire. As of this time, estimates of damage have not been made. The incident is still under investigation by the Minot Fire Department.
